WOW we cannot believe it's the last week of LeapIN, the past 9 weeks have absolutely flown by. There have been so many amazing connections made between our cohorts, community members and staff at Leap Junction. We are so grateful for this amazing group and all of their hard work. We hope they took away many lessons and tools to apply to growing their amazing businesses.

Week 9: On Monday Entrepreneurial Coach Dave ran us through the 1.80 strategy by Gary V and KPI's for our businesses. Next Cory and Romeo from media services came in to teach us about the importance of good camera equipment and where to source it from. On Tuesday we mostly just had a work period and focused on perfecting our value pitch for our wrap event. Wednesday we had our LeapIN wrap up event. All of our cohorts set up tables to display their products and services while family, friends and our eco-system joined us to celebrate all of their hard work! It was a beautiful day surrounded by smiles, laughs and a few tears!

Again we just want to thank everything who made the 2019 Summer Incubator such a success and we couldn't be happier with how it turned out!

Week 8 focus was on Company Culture. We travelled, laughed, and bonded! It was such a fun week (like always). Unfortunately, this is our second last week :(

Day 1: This was such a fun one! In the morning Lisa from FML Adventures presented her test trip to us. We are all so excited for her and can't wait to see the photos from her trip! Next Mackenzie Oak from Me my Soap and I, taught us how to make shower steamers, one of her best selling products! It was so fun and Leap Junction has never smelled better!

Next, we went to the Bakers Dozen in Old East Village. The owner William, taught us how the Bakers Dozen came to be and all the wonderful aspects of it, it was such a neat space. Then we treated ourselves to a spontaneous lunch at The Root Cellar, and YUM!!

Our day finished off at The Small Business Centre, where we had a round table discussion with the Summer Company. It was a great opportunity to collaborate and chat with other small business owners.

Day 2: We ventured to Propel, the summer incubator at Western. Everyone participated in a workshop learning about our leadership style and how it is effected by stress. After our lunch together we all got to introduce ourselves and see if there were any collaboration opportunities among one another.

Day 3: The day started with a presentation by our Entrepreneurial Curator Kelsey Currie, on Professional Practices as a small business owner. Next, we brain stormed ideas to stay connected after Leap Junction finishes. we had some great ideas and already can't wait to meet up. The day finished off with a work period and Brag and Drag by Ryan Kelly.

OUR FINAL WEEK next week! We cannot believe it! We have a jam packed week next week and can't wait to share it with you

Week 7 was a medley of fun activities and team bonding! We can't believe it's already week 7 only two more weeks :( Let's try not to think about that an fill you in on what happened during week 7!

Day 1: We were joined by the incredibly talented Paula Morand. We learned how to dream BIG and be BOLD. The session was a deep dive into our businesses and how we can reach a larger audience and follow our dreams. It was so inspiring and I know a bunch of our leapers left with new ideas and ways to grow their business. One thing that Paula really touched on was the importance of connections. We are all walking away with a new found apperciation for our network. Just ask yourself what if each new connection was worth $1000, doesn't that make networking events seem so much more doable?!

ALSO, Alex from Lost in Lavender taught us how to create metal tags for her workshop, it was SO fun and we all walked away with a LeapIn pendent!

Day 2: WAS SO MUCH FUN! We all travelled down to Windmill lake for Family Day! Kyra and Tim Nixon joined us to talk about the importance of family balance while being an entrepreneur. It was such an inspiring talk from two successful entrepreneurs who also have 1.5 babies!! (Kyra is currently pregnant)

Next we spent the whole day paddleboarding, BBQing, Canoeing, Wakeboarding, and cuddling with puppies! It was seriously so nice just to get out into nature and enjoy each others company. I think it was one of our favourite days to date!

Day 3: Our week ended with Marketing Smarketing, where our Entrepreneurial coach Dave, taught the importance of marketing and developing strategy. It was a full day situation but we learned so much about how to properly market our business and create an effective strategy.

Next week is SUCH an exciting week and we can't wait to share it with you!
